Professor Davis Fong is the Director of Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming as well as an Associate Professor of International Integrated Resort Management Program at University of Macau. Professor Fong has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the Macao SAR Government as a member of the 6th Batch of Legislative Assembly (2017 ~ 2021).
His pursuit of academic interests has led him to study different aspects of gambling and related issues, such as social and economic impacts of gambling, Chinese gambler behavior, gambling disorder, responsible gambling, visitor profile studies, casino operations, tourism management and more.
Professor Fong has been responsible for more than 30 gambling and tourism related consultancy projects for the Macao SAR Government. He has been appointed by the Government as a Consultant of Economic Development Committee since 2017, a member of the Talents Development Committee since 2014 and the Consultative Committee of Statistics, MSAR since 2015 (UM Representative).
