The number of requests for exclusion from Macau casinos grew by 7.1% in 2017 to 376, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination (DICJ) has revealed.
Figures released on Thursday show that the number grew from 351 in 2016, with the vast majority of this year’s requests, 316, coming via self-exclusion applications. The other 60 exclusion requests came from third parties such as family members.
The figures include 93 exclusion requests made in the last three months of 2017 including 73 self-exclusion applications and 17 by a third party.
There were, however, fewer exclusion requests in the second half of the year, 172, than in the first half when 179 requests were made.
