The five year partnership between Sands Resorts Macao and DreamWorks Animation has come to an end with the family-themed DreamWorks Experience to hold its last show at Sands Cotai Central on 8 October.
In an announcement on Thursday, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Brand Management, Ruth Boston, said Sands Resorts was “continuously striving to bring new and exciting entertainment to our resorts for our guests, visitors and in particular our family market to enjoy.
“As such we are currently looking for new family themed offerings of the same calibre for all of our guests to experience and we look forward to continuing to bring world-class entertainment to Macau,” she said
Since the DreamWorks Experience first launched at Sands Cotai Central in 2013 there have been over 1,530 performances at Sands’ Macau properties, with year-round attractions including Po’s Kung Fu Feast – Character Breakfast with the DreamWorks All-Stars; DreamWorks Experience Birthday Parties; the DreamWorks Experience All-Star Parade; DreamWorks Animation Character Meet and Greets; and the DreamWorks Experience Cool Collection.
The DreamWorks Experience has also regularly ranked as the number one tourist attraction in Macau on TripAdvisor’s “Top 10 Things to Do in Macao.” Sands Resorts hosted a number of local DreamWorks Animation movie premieres including Turbo, Mr Peabody and Sherman, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda 3 and most recently The Boss Baby.
