Australian wagering giant Tabcorp Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of Adam Rytenskild to lead Tabcorp’s Wagering and Media business ahead of the retirement of Craig Nugent later this year. Mr Rytenskild will also be responsible for the integration of Tatts’ wagering business following the implementation of the proposed merger between the two gaming giants.
Mr Nugent will remain with Tabcorp until 30 November 2017.
In a Wednesday statement, Tabcorp said that Mr Rytenskild has “extensive experience in wagering, having joined Tabcorp in 2000 as Victorian retail wagering manager.”
In that time has led Tabcorp’s multi-channel distribution comprising the broad retail network and Tabcorp’s high growth digital channel, and since 2014 has been Chief Operating Officer of Gaming Services and Keno, which account for approximately 30% of group EBITDA.
“In this role, Mr Rytenskild has overseen the expansion of the Gaming Services business, the integration of Intecq and the turnaround of Keno,” the company said.
“I look forward to working with Mr Rytenskild in his new role. He is an experienced Tabcorp executive with a strong background in wagering. He is well placed to grow the wagering business and execute on our integration with Tatts,” said Tabcorp Managing Director and CEO, David Attenborough.
“I would also like to acknowledge Craig Nugent’s contribution to Tabcorp and the racing industry, more broadly, and wish him well as he approaches his retirement.”
