Asia’s Poker King Club has announced a new four-stop tournament series touted as its “biggest game ever”.
The Suncity Cup, sponsored by Suncity Group, will boast a guaranteed HK$8 million prize pool with events to be held in Jeju, Manila, Busan and Macau between September and December 2017.
The innovative Suncity Cup series will launch its initial round in Jeju, with a series of events held between 24 to 30 September. The second series will move on to the Philippines and Poker King Club’s poker room located at Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila from 13 to 16 October. The third location, and second in Korea, will be held in Busan, with a tentative schedule set from 13 to 18 November, before the series arrives at the Venetian Macao from 23 November to 2 December.
In addition to the “Day 1” series, a variety of side events will be held at each stop including High Roller events as well as player parties.

The Suncity Cup will feature buy-ins of HK$6,000 for each main event.

Poker King Club, launched in 2009, is home to the world’s biggest cash game which is regularly attended by the likes of Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Tom Hall and renowned local businessman Paul Phua.
