The number of new requests for exclusion from Macau’s casinos rose slightly over the first six months of the year, with 179 requests compared with 172 requests in the six months prior according to latest statistics from the city’s gaming regulator.
The figures include 149 applications for self-exclusion and another 30 made on someone else’s behalf.
The numbers decreased slightly over the past three months, with 97 requests for exclusion between January and March while there were 80 requests from April to June.
2016 saw a total of 355 requests for self-exclusion, with 183 of those coming in the first half of the year and 172 in the six months to 31 December.
