Australian slot machine giant Aristocrat has announced that Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary Toni Korsanos will depart the company following a decision to relocate the role from Sydney to Las Vegas from March 2018.
Aristocrat said it was moving the role following a similar move by new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Trevor Croker to its North American base later this year. The relocation of the CFO role will help ensure continuation of the successful partnership between CEO and CFO, consistent with the interests of the business, it explained.
Ms Korsanos has cited family reasons for her decision not continue, with Aristocrat set to commence its search for her replacement.
Mr Croker said, “Aristocrat is fortunate to have an outstanding CFO and Company Secretary in Toni Korsanos, who has been instrumental to Aristocrat’s turnaround and growth as the key finance and strategic partner both to myself and former CEO Jamie Odell.
“Toni’s legacy at Aristocrat is broad and impressive. It includes the delivery of sustained and outstanding group performance against all key financial metrics across her tenure, together with transformative mergers and acquisitions, a strong cultural impact and the development of many talented leaders who are well positioned to build on Toni’s achievements into the future.
“I deeply regret but fully respect Toni’s decision not to relocate and to instead embrace new challenges, progressing her executive career and pursuing her interest in non-executive directorships among other opportunities.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Toni in the months ahead as we prepare for this important transition and maintain full momentum in executing Aristocrat’s ambitious growth strategy.”
Almost 60% of Aristocrat’s revenue is derived from its Americas business, with the company recently announcing plans to build a new 180,000 square foot campus in Las Vegas.
