MGM China’s new Macau integrated resort, MGM Cotai, will boast almost 3,000 square meters of meeting space, a theater for 2,000 guests, 1,390 hotel rooms and artwork by the likes of Andy Warhol and Ma Desheng, the company has revealed.

In a Wednesday release, MGM said that the HK$26 billion resort “will become the newest premier destination for individuals and groups who expect the best in service and amenities when its doors open in the fourth quarter of this year.”

Adding to Macau’s growing reputation as a unique MICE destination, MGM Cotai will boast a range of options for business and social events including a pillar-free boardroom capable of hosting 1,000 people as well as a boardroom, known as Vista, which overlooks the resort’s reflective pool and greenery while offering floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious alfresco terrace.

MGM Theater will be one of Macau’s most innovative spaces – a dynamic space that can transform into over 10 different configurations with the press of a button. A highlight of the theater will be 180 degrees of 4K LED screens to showcase a brand or highlight an event.

Guests staying at the property can look forward to “sophisticated elegance and modern luxuries, with comfortable and functional design,” the company said.

The hotel rooms will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, while the unique Resort Rooms will reveal spectacular panoramic views of Cotai, scenic fountains or the horizon. The Suites will provide extra space including separate living and dining areas, a day bed, as well as a spacious, marble master bathroom with a large vanity, deep soaking tub and separate steam shower.

MGM Cotai will also see the company expand its Skylofts concept beyond Las Vegas to Cotai. Taking inspiration from New York City’s lofts, each Skyloft is a one-of-a-kind duplex space, soaring above Cotai at the resort’s North Hotel Tower. Each Skyloft includes unique design elements, such as a digitally animated pool table, to create an eccentric entertainment experience. There will also be two sets of art collections themed “If You Can Dream” and “New Ink New Language” encompassing works by world-renowned artists such as Andy Warhol and Ma Desheng in selected Skylofts.

Skyloft guests will have access to the exclusive Sky Lounge located on the 33rd and 35th floor atop the hotel’s North Tower, with dedicated check-in and private concierge service as well as complimentary food and beverage offerings.

Ms Victoria Fuh, Vice President of Resort Sales of MGM, said, “We have seen an increasing demand for unique and high quality meeting, incentive, exhibition and convention (MICE) venues in Macau. MGM Cotai will provide the perfect meeting place for our business partners with seamless integration of technology that will create a functional yet innovative space.

“Thoughtful artistic and creative touches will be featured throughout the resort and in the guest rooms, keeping true to the MGM brand which is known for its incredible heritage in artistry and entertainment.”
