The Asian Poker Tour’s Executive Tournament Director, Lloyd Fontillas, has joined the Board of Directors of the prestigious Poker Tournament Directors Association (Poker TDA).
Fontillas will formally be welcomed to the board during the 2017 Poker TDA Summit VIII to be held at the Aria in Las Vegas on 30 June and 1 July 2017.
One of the most respected Tournament Directors in the world, Fontillas joined the APT in 2009 and was appointed Executive Tournament Director in 2016. A native of Kingsville, Texas, he attended high school in the Philippines before returning to the US to start his career.
He has served on tournament management teams for the World Poker Tour (WPT) and World Series of Poker (WSOP before joining the APT where he manages all APT tournaments worldwide from his Phillipines based.
The TDA is the official association of poker tournament personnel and is dedicated to the advancement of the industry and adoption of uniform poker tournament rules. The TDA was founded in 2001 by gaming professionals Matt Savage, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher and David Lamb.
Since its inception, the association has grown to over 2,500 members in 63 countries.
