Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited has been honored with the Organization Safety Performance Silver Award in the 2016 DSAL Catering Industry Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Scheme operated by the Labor Affairs Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region (DSAL). Ms Ruby O, Melco’s Executive Director of Food Safety, received the award from Mr Chan Un Tong, Deputy Director of DSAL, at an award presentation ceremony on Wednesday 24 May 24,.
In addition, Pearl Dragon at Studio City and Jade Dragon at City of Dreams garnered the Gold Award and Bronze Award, respectively, in the Hotel Restaurants (Group A) category, while The Tasting Room at City of Dreams and Aurora at Altira Macau received the Bronze Award and Excellence Award, respectively, in the Hotel Restaurants (Group B) category. Tenmasa at Altira Macau also won the Excellence Award in the Hotel Restaurants (Group C) category.
Mr Chan Un Tong said, “Catering services is an important component of Macau’s hospitality industry. Enhancing OSH management and minimizing workplace injuries are effective means to improve competitiveness. Hence we organize the Catering Industry Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Scheme to promote OSH management, aiming to achieve self-regulation among catering companies. On behalf of DSAL, I am pleased to congratulate the winners for their excellent performance in the implementation of OSH.”
