Macau’s new Taipa Ferry Terminal will be open for business from 1 June 2017 after hosting its official opening ceremony yesterday.
Director of the Marine and Water Bureau Mr Wong Soi Man said the terminal would not only provide greatly improved facilities but would enhance Macau’s reputation as a major Asian tourist hub. It would also boost Macau’s connection with other cities in the Greater Bay Area.
The new Taipa Ferry Terminal boasts 16 ferry berths, 127 passenger passways and services an area covering 200,000 square kilometers. Along with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge later this year, it will provide Macau with much needed infrastructure as it looks to become a tourist capital of the world.
