The Japan Gaming Congress starts today with local policy makers and key gaming executives from around the world gathering at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo to provide their insights and gain a better understanding of casino and Integrated Resort legislation in Japan
The first day of official activities will kick off with a keynote speech from Chief Cabinet Secretary of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Mr Yoshihide Suga – who will address Japan’s growth strategy and IRs – followed by a second keynote speech from Chairman of the LDP’s multi-party committee, Mr Hiroyuki Hosoda, on policy objectives of IR promotion.
Other speakers today will include Melco Resorts and Entertainment CEO Lawrence Ho, Galaxy Entertainment Group President Michael Mecca, MGM Resorts Japan CEO Ed Bowers and Caesars Entertainment President of International Development Steve Tight.
In total more than 420 delegates are on hand for the Japan Gaming Congress with topics to be covered including: Building a MICE economy in conjunction with IR projects; Licensing regulations; Best practice in responsible gambling; IR locations; and Financing IR projects.
