MGM has received the “Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award” at the 6th Cross-Strait-Four-Region Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award Ceremony organized by The Mirror Post of Hong Kong, and is the only private enterprise and integrated resort operator in Macau to have achieved this regional accolade.

The 6th Cross-Strait-Four-Region Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award Ceremony took place at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong on 27 April. Mr. Leung Chun-Ying, Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR Government was one of the Guests of Honor for the event. Other distinguished guests include Mr. Lam Shu-chit and Mr. Yu Guochun, Members of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Honorary Advisers of the Mirror Post.

The Judging Committee comprises 11 experts of relevant fields and corporations from four regions across the China Strait. They judged on numerous facets, taking into consideration the candidates’ corporate social responsibility strategy in the categories of obligations towards shareholders, caring of employees, environmental protection, and commitment to customers, community and society relations, as well as leadership ability practices.

Mr. Grant Bowie, CEO and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “We are very honored to receive this prestigious regional award for our corporate social responsibility scheme, as it highlights our dedication to the community, our employees and the environment. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of our staff who has contributed to making MGM a more socially-and environmentally-sustainable enterprise throughout the years.

“With the opening of our new integrated resort MGM Cotai, we are growing our footprint in the region and at the same time, developing Macau into a World Center of Tourism and Leisure. This award serves as a motivation to our continuous effort in innovative community projects and our enthusiasm in giving back to the community.”
