Since opening its doors in 2007, Altira Macau has set new standards for luxury in the city and has continually been hailed as one of the top eight hotels in the world recognized by Forbes for eight years in a row. To celebrate its 10th anniversary this May, the multi-award-winning boutique casino hotel is flying in 10 world-class culinary artisans from around the globe for the ‘Sparkling 10’ Chef Series, a dazzling array of lunches, dinners and cocktail events that will take place across Altira’s signature restaurants from May 5 to 28.

Strictly limited and available by reservation only, the unique programme of gastronomic experiences features an outstanding lineup of chefs and mixologists from Italy, France, Finland, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. These include Gaëtan Evrard from the celebrated L’Évidence in France’s Loire Valley; Norbert Niederkofler of two-Michelin-starred St. Hubertus at the Hotel Rosa Alpina in San Cassiano, Italy; and Ryan Clift and Joe Schofield, chef and head bartender, respectively, of Singapore’s acclaimed Tippling Club, which was named among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in February 2017.

Other highlights of the series are chef Jie Ming Jian of Shanghai’s two-Michelin-starred Canton 8, who will team up with tea master Zhang Zhifeng for a special tea-pairing menu at Altira’s Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Ying; Michael De Jesus and Kirika Oi, head chef and executive sushi chef, respectively, at Nobu, City of Dreams Manila; Takayuki Nonaka, executive chef of Tenmasa Tokyo; and mixologist Steven Beerens of Finland’s Napue Gin. Altira Macau will also host a quartet of special Sunday brunches throughout the month as part of the Le French GourMay food and wine festival.

“Altira Macau has prided itself on being the city’s premier dining destination since it first opened, so there is no more fitting way to celebrate 10 years of sparkling luxury experiences than with the ‘Sparkling 10’ Chef Series,” said Mr. Andy Choy, Property President of Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs. “We wanted to offer an out-of-this-world culinary experience to our guests to celebrate our first 10 years, the kind of experience that has made us the only homegrown hotel in Macau, and one of only eight hotels in the world, to receive a Five-Star rating from Forbes for eight consecutive years.”

In addition to the ‘Sparkling 10’ Chef Series, Altira Macau is also marking its 10th anniversary with the ’10 Oasis Nights’ package. Priced from MOP$2,810 and featuring a one-night stay for two in a Waterfront View King Room, a 60-minute Intuitive Body Massage or Revital Facial Treatment for two in a couples chamber at Altira Spa, two hours of unlimited drinks and appetizers at Aurora restaurant, and a host of other benefits, it is the perfect introduction to Altira Macau at its very best.
