MEI's SC Advanced & EASITRAX Soft Count

MEI has its sights set on growth in the region and will be exhibiting at G2E Asia with its productivity-boosting portfolio, including SC Advance, EASITRAX Soft Count, and the Bank Note Recycler

“Asia has tremendous growth potential in the gaming industry. Everyone wants in,” says Graeme Lewis, MEI Vice President of Gaming – Asia Pacific.

MEI, the leading global manufacturer of electronic payments systems, has already established a leading presence in Asia’s main gaming jurisdictions, including the Philippines, wins in Singapore and 65% ship share in Macau. Mr Lewis explains, “As these markets continue to grow and new ones emerge, we will continue to expand our reach and show results through our proven value proposition and core competencies—acceptance, jam rate, security and cost of operation. For G2E Asia, we’ve chosen to highlight the products we know will make the most impact.”

Following on from the huge success of CASHFLOW SC, which has achieved a global installed base of more than one million units, the evolutionary SC Advance features enhanced detection technology, faster note-to-note speed and comprehensive barcode recognition. It also has the increased capacity to accept up to 100 different currencies and denominations. This is especially valuable in tourist-dependent Asian gaming markets. Players from around the world are no longer forced to suffer through tedious exchange processes, and operators stand to benefit from the increased footfall.

EASITRAX Soft Count works in tandem with SC Advance in order to further improve profitability, says MEI. With over 70,000 units already installed worldwide, this integrated software/hardware system streamlines the cash management process by collecting information from multiple note acceptors at multiple properties and making that data securely accessible from a single remote location. The company claims operators that have upgraded to EASITRAX typically receive a payback in less than one year by reducing 20-30 seconds per cashbox on every drop and improving maintenance practices through access to eight pre-programmed reports.

MEI will also highlight the revolutionary Bank Note Recycler (BNR), an automated cash recycling system that combines the functions of a traditional accept/dispense unit into a single closed-loop device that allows operators to effectively manage coins, notes and tickets in one centralized location. As a result, the BNR reduces labor, increases security and improves the player experience. The modular design of the BNR also means it can be customized and configured according to need and locale.
