MACAU (March 28, 2012) – SPIELO International’s Casino Systems and Asia Sales groups are working together to increase the company’s presence in the Asian gaming market with two appointments, effective in April 2012.

Marc Attal, Managing Director for SPIELO International Casino Systems, has appointed Lai Fatt Chiang as General Manager of Casino Systems for Asia Pacific.

Based in Malaysia, Lai Fatt Chiang has 10 years’ experience in all aspects of the gaming industry in Asia. His past experience includes his role as Group General Manager at RGB International, as well as three years with SPIELO International’s games division (previously ATRONIC).

“SPIELO International strongly believes in maintaining close relationships with its customers, and in understanding cultural differences among operators and players. This is the basis of our approach to the diverse Asian market,” said Attal.

“The appointment of Lai Fatt Chiang, who reports to Casino System’s International Sales Director Fivos Polymniou, demonstrates SPIELO International’s ongoing commitment to increasing support for its existing casino systems customers in Asia. Our intent is to strengthen the partnerships with our established in-country distributor channels throughout the region. Future appointments will add further expertise to this growing team.”

Lai Fatt Chiang graduated from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, in Accounting and Finance. He speaks fluent English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien.

In addition, Marcel Heutmekers, SPIELO International Senior Director and General Manager, Asia and Latin America, has announced the appointment of Maria Garcia as Director of Sales for Asia (Casino Games).

Based in Macau, Garcia has been a well-respected distributor for several slot manufacturers in the region since 2006. Her most recent role was as Sales and Marketing Director for Asia Pioneer Entertainment Ltd.

“We’re excited to have a well-known name in the industry on board. Maria understands the typical characteristics of the Macau market very well. We believe she’ll become a key person in our long-term strategy for the Asian market,” said Heutmekers.

“We are happy and proud to have such an experienced and skilled person joining us as part of this important journey in this region.”

Garcia graduated with a diploma in Event Management from the Hong Kong Management Association in 2004. She is fluent in English, Portuguese, Cantonese and Mandarin.
