GAMING STANDARDS ASSOCIATION BRINGS STABLE, READY AND AVAILABLE STANDARDS TO G2E 2011

GSA holds Annual Meeting with unique Three-Speaker Keynote Address on Lotteries

LAS VEGAS – The Gaming Standards Association is bringing the freedom of stable, ready and available standards to operators, suppliers and regulators at G2E 2011. From its booth #3171, GSA will be discussing its latest standards that give operators the freedom for profit potential, unlock casino floor possibilities, and create an array of revenue, operational, and customer focused application opportunities.

GSA President Peter DeRaedt said, “I’m pleased to say that the GSA standards are now stable and contain the business functionality that the industry requires to grow. This new set of stable standards will be released in early 2012 to our members, and that means operators, regulators and suppliers can adopt GSA’s award-winning standards and provide products and solutions based on them.”

GSA will also play a role in the G2E Conference Program, hosting two key sessions. The first, “Held to a Different Standard: Land-Based vs. Online Gaming,” takes place Monday, October 3 at 12:45 p.m. Attendees will learn whether or not an unregulated market be standardized, how creating standards can ensure security and integrity and how existing standards may translate to this new arena.

The second session, “Certification: What Does it Mean for an Operator?” takes place later that day at 3:00 p.m. and explains the standards of server-based gaming and how they impact operators, with an eye toward how GSA standards help operators  maximize floor space and revenue potential. Both sessions take place at the Sands Convention Center.

Additionally, GSA will hold its Annual Meeting during G2E. Famous for its high-level discussions on groundbreaking technology that is changing the industry, GSA’s Annual Meeting takes place Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sands Convention Center, room 2501.The keynote address has a unique format this year, with three leaders in the critically important and growing lottery industry presenting their vision for the future. The speakers are: Muriel Grimble, Executive Director, Gaming Products and Services, Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission; Carole Hardy, Assistant Director, Marketing, Oregon Lottery; and Jim Lightbody, Vice President, Casino and Community Gaming, BCLC.

The meeting is open and free to the public and registration is available now at www.gamingstandards.com.
