PRESS RELEASE

EXPERIENCE THE INNOVATION AT BALLY TECHNOLOGIES’ G2E 2011 EXHIBIT

Michael Jackson King of Pop™, Grease™, iVIEW DM™ take center stage

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 21, 2011 − Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI) invites casino operators to experience the innovation at its 2011 Global Gaming Expo(G2E) exhibit Oct. 4-6 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center on the Las Vegas Strip. The worldwide gaming innovator will showcase nearly 300 games, cutting-edge systems technologies, and interactive solutions at its 15,300 square foot booth #1127.

“The focus of our G2E exhibit will be on showcasing solutions that offer highly entertaining experiences to casino players, while delivering a strong return-on-investment to operators,” said Richard M. Haddrill, Bally’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are unveiling some new world-class licensed brands, lots of new and compelling game content, several trailblazing new play mechanics, and new floor-wide bonusing applications that deliver a truly differentiated experience across the casino floor on games from any manufacturer.”

Exciting Games, World-Class Brands

Highlighting Bally’s G2E games exhibit are popular, iconic brands. Taking center stage is Michael Jackson King of Pop, which features one of the most widely beloved and influential artists of all time in an exciting, music-filled game on Bally’s new Pro Series™ V22/32 cabinet with the new custom, professional Pro Series surround-sound chair. Offering everything from mystery wilds bonuses and free games bonus events featuring Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough, Billie Jean, Beat It, and Smooth Criminal, this game is highlighted by a U-Spin™ Platinum Record Bonus. Michael Jackson is represented exclusively for licensing by the Bravado International Group.

Grease, inspired by the 1978 American musical film about two love-struck teens in a 1950s high school, is Bally’s first double-play game, featuring two, 25-line games – enabling the player to play two games at once. And Betty Boop’s Fortune Teller™, the new companion game to the hit Betty Boop’s Love Meter™, offers an unprecedented 15 bonuses at any bet and U-Spin™ and U-Choose™ bonuses. Both of these globally recognized new brands are available on Bally’s trailblazing ALPHA 2™ Pro Hammerhead™ cabinet.

The Company will showcase an unprecedented lineup of highly entertaining, interactive new for-sale content for its ALPHA 2 Pro Series cabinets, featuring an array of new play mechanics and iDeck™ bonuses never before available on core product.

For its Pro Upright and Slant core for-sale video cabinets, Bally showcases 17 new game titles, including Fish’n for Loot™ and Total Blast™, both featuring the iDeck as an arcade-like player input device. These dramatically exciting new games introduce Bally’s new U-Shoot™ virtual shooting gallery bonus-game play mechanic in which the player touches the iDeck to create weapons for “shooting” at targets on the main game screens.

Trailblazing New Play Mechanics

Bally takes the arcade favorite Skee-Ball game to a new level on the Pro V32, with a bonus feature in which players touch and slide to “bowl” the Skee-Ball, winning “tickets” that enable them to “Pick a Prize” on the game that reveals credit awards. There will be seven Pro V32 games featured at G2E, including Skee-Ball and All That Jazz™, which has a revolutionary iDeck feature called U-Play™, in which players touch and spin virtual piano keys.

And for the award-winning Pro Curve cabinet, featuring the industry’s only curved LCD to emulate spinning reels on a video slot, Bally showcases 17 new game titles, including Playboy Playmate Party, featuring Quick Hit math and a unique Free Games feature that gives the player the chance to win an infinite number of free games. Included in the Curve line-up are several new play mechanics including Big Bang Free Games™, Rolling Wilds™, and Breakthrough Free Games™.

As the industry’s leader in mechanical-reel games, Bally expands its stepper lineup with 10 new game titles on display at G2E, including new low-denom titles like the Ancient Mystery family of games featuring Bally’s Bullseye Bonus™ play mechanic and iDeck U-Win™ touch-activated mystery bonuses.

In its massive G2E games display, Bally will also premiere new game content for the Class II, central determination, and international markets, including 10 VLT titles with exciting features not widely available for VLT jurisdictions such as progressive jackpots, mystery bonuses, game-in-game bonuses, and the U-Spin play mechanic.

Bally’s extensive systems solution showcase will feature the Company’s full suite of casino and slot-management systems – SDS™, ACSC™, CMP™, and MultiConnect™, demonstrating that Bally has a systems solution for every size of casino.

Floor-wide Player Entertainment

Featured prominently in Bally’s 2011 G2E exhibit will be iVIEW Display Manager™ (DM), an interactive communication tool used by players and controlled by the gaming operator. This picture-in-picture-style player-user-interface is backwards compatible on most gaming devices with a touch-screen display, and provides a way for casino operators to present self-service player-account access, marketing messages, and secondary bonus games on the main game screen – without interrupting play.

Bally’s Elite Bonusing Suite (EBS), when combined with iVIEW DM, adds dramatic new levels of excitement and anticipation to the slot-play experience. The EBS applications deliver floor-wide, personalized promotions, second-chance-to-win events, and the ability for players to earn valuable rewards, all without interrupting play on the base game.

These interactive solutions enable players to spin wheels, select and root for their favorite contest-driven car or horse, get instant rewards on their birthday, and participate in instant floor-wide slot tournaments. At G2E Bally will introduce two new EBS apps – Power Progressive Payline™ and Power Progressive Strike™.

For the first time ever, the Company will introduce its Bally Interactive solutions, cross-platform offerings for casinos that include mobile, online, and systems versions of Bally’s popular land-based casino games.

A host of mobile technology will be on display, including more than 20 custom casino applications across multiple platforms that Bally has created for its casino partners. Bally’s lineup of mobile solutions also features Service Tracking Manager™, a mobile-based dispatch system that dramatically improves service on the casino floor by routing patron requests to employees on handheld devices such as the iPhone® and iPad®, and an array of mobile play-for-fun games based on Bally’s popular casino games.
