Galaxy Entertainment Group—one of Macau’s six casino concessionaires—has donated clothing and tableware to orphanages and homes for the elderly on the Chinese mainland.
The items—400 jackets, 2,600 T-shirts and 1,700 thermo cups—were distributed to institutions in the provinces of Guizhou, Gansu and Guangxi by the charity Care Action Macao.
Warm clothing is needed in the mountainous region of Gansu even in summer time, as the variation in day time and night time temperatures is very large.
“I am grateful for the generous donations of GEG that have helped thousands of children and elderly as well as alleviating need in Mainland China,” said Lo Seng Chung,Chairman of Care Action Macao.
