Colin Pine has been appointed General Director of the Ho Tram Project Company by Asian Coast Development Ltd (ACDL).

ACDL is the conglomerate behind the Ho Tram Strip casino resort project in Vietnam.

Prior to joining Ho Tram Project Company, Mr Pine provided advisory services to foreign-invested companies in Vietnam and private equity funds looking to invest in Vietnam.

From 2007 to 2009, he was the General Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indochina Beach Hotels Joint Stock Company, a hospitality-focused real estate company which owns the Furama Resort, Da Nang, the first 5-star resort built in Central Vietnam. It is also the developer of other large-scale resort and beach residence projects in Central Vietnam and on Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam.  Concurrent with his role at Indochina Beach Hotels, Mr Pine was a director at Sovico Holdings, which is one of Vietnam’s largest and leading privately-held, diversified investment companies.  He also served on the board of directors of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, the first privately-owned airline to be licensed in Vietnam.

From 1998 until 2007, Mr Pine was the business manager of the United Nations International School of Hanoi, a private international school serving the diplomatic, foreign-investment and Vietnamese communities in Hanoi.  He was responsible for all non-academic functions of the company and also led project development for the construction of a purpose-built campus on 9.2 hectares of land.    Mr Pine started his professional career in Vietnam in 1997 as the country representative for JD Power & Associates.

Mr Pine is a fluent speaker of Vietnamese and holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service where he focused on economics.  Mr Pine was a John Carroll Scholar and also listed on the School of Foreign Service’s Dean’s List at Georgetown.
