Gaming Standards Association – ‘Driving Innovation’ theme for G2E 2010

LAS VEGAS (November 8, 2010) – The Gaming Standards Association is driving innovation with its award-winning standards. Now at Global Gaming Expo 2010, GSA is doing more than ever to help the global gaming industry merge great standards into profits. G2E takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and GSA will be in booth #2192.

GSA President Peter DeRaedt said, “Everywhere you look at G2E, you will see the future on display in the devices and systems operating on GSA protocols. This makes G2E the perfect time and place to visit the GSA booth to learn about the many benefits of joining GSA and implementing the GSA standards,” and added, “We look forward to talking with operators about the importance of preparing their casino floors for new and emerging technologies, and to be discussing with suppliers the benefits of developing products based on GSA standards. We encourage anyone to stop by our booth.”

In addition to its tradeshow floor presence, on November 16, GSA will present two panel sessions:

“The New Reality of Networked Gaming Applications” will discuss what suppliers should do now to prepare their devices and systems for new networked gaming applications. The panel consists of moderator Gregg Solomon, CEO, MotorCity Casino, and speakers Adrian Marcu VP Global Technical Architecture, IGT; David Nehra, VP & CIO, MotorCity Casino Hotel; Rob Siemasko, VP, Product Management, WMS Gaming, Inc.; and Ramesh Srinivasan, EVP Bally Technologies, Inc. This session takes place at 11:45 AM – 1:15 PM in Room N-110.  

 

“Tooling Around: How GSA Protocols Can Help” presents development tools and technologies that will aid in adoption of GSA standards. Moderator is Ethan Tower, Protocol Director, GSA, and speakers Dave Daniels, Sr. Dir. Engineering, GLI; Adrian Marcu, VP Global Technical Architecture, IGT; Russ Ristine, VP, Radical Blue Gaming, Inc.; and Ales Smrdel, Solution Architect, ComTrade d.o.o., Ljubljana will round up the panel. This session takes place at 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM in Room N-108. 

 

On November 17 at 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the Las Vegas Convention Center; Room N110, GSA will hold its Annual Meeting. Keynote speaker Scott Voeller, V.P. of Brand Strategy and Advertising for MGM Resorts International, has led MGM’s efforts to capitalize on new technologies and will speak about how new technologies are instrumental in moving the gaming industry forward. The agenda for the Annual Meeting also includes overview of GSA’s accomplishments in 2010 and plans for 2011. Admission to the Annual Meeting is open to the public and registration is required.
