NRT’s innovative cash handling solutions keep the queues shorter at Marina Bay Sands

NRT Technology Corp provides an efficient system for Marina Bay Sands (MBS) to collect the otherwise cumbersome entry fee it needs to levy on local Singapore residents wishing to visit one of the city-state’s two recently opened casinos.

MBS, which opened in April, features 28 NRT QuickTouch™ kiosks at its entrances to facilitate faster entry into the casino. The selfservice kiosks validate the identity of local Singaporeans, display payment options, process payment (cash, debit or credit) and confirm transaction status to a Host System.

The QuickTouch™ product reflects the result of NRT’s intense R&D efforts over the past 3 years. Its versatility allows users to purchase tickets, redeem points, make reservations, manage loyalty accounts, buy stored-value cards and perform authorized inquiries. Development of the special QuickTouch™ kiosks for use in Singapore was the result of a close partnership between NRT and MBS over the past 10 months.

Also unveiled at the MBS opening was the QuickJack2™ kiosk solution. QuickJack2™ is installed at casinos worldwide, and allows customers to perform self-service functions such as ticket redemption, bill breaking, jackpot payouts, loyalty account management and ATM services.

Since NRT’s founding in 1993, the company has provided innovative cash handling solutions, products and services to the casino and gaming industry worldwide. NRT’s entire suite of ‘Quick’ products demonstrates the company’s commitment to continually deliver high value, faster transaction speed and increased productivity. All NRT products are managed by NRT’s sophisticated Cash Handling System (CHS), which provides real-time, web-based services. These include ‘health’ management, unsolicited alerts of abnormal situations and detailed management reports that can be sorted by corporate, site, product or department.

NRT is the recognized industry leader in self-serve redemption and jackpot systems, having received multiple industry awards and placed almost 4,000 devices in over 300 casino locations throughout Canada, US, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.

NRT’s 55,000-square-foot headquarters facility in Toronto, Canada houses all research and development, administration, compliance, marketing, sales, and service support staff. In addition, NRT has an office in Las Vegas, Nevada, where it works closely with clients and North America’s major gaming technology companies. It also maintains staff in Macau and Singapore, in order to work with and support its customers in Asia.

Products featured at NRT Technology Corp’s display at Booth 935 at CotaiExpo at The Venetian Macao include:

QuickTable™, is a joint development between NRT and JCM. It features enhanced chip management, large capacity (bills and tickets), acceptance of TITO tickets or smart cards and centralized administration. Benefits include fewer refills, enhanced player convenience, higher chip retention, real-time knowledge of cash and no need for count room to perform second verification. NRT’s renowned Cash Handling System (CHS) provides realtime, web-based access to cash information, management reports and system management tools.

QuickTouch™ multi-purpose casino guest service kiosks, featuring:

• Optional hardware configurations permitting custom input and output designs, providing quick and easy guest services, including buffet, rewards points redemption, way finding, event reservations and ticketing, and multiple NRT and third party applications.

• Management, reporting, and administration provided through CHS.

QuickJack2™, which provides ticket redemption, bill breaking, ATM functionality, and more patron applications.
