LAS VEGAS, NV – (April 14, 2010) – Gaming Partners International Corporation (NASDAQ: GPIC) announced that it has completed the delivery of its initial order for casino currency for Singapore’s first integrated resort and casino, Resorts World Sentosa.  The order included chips and plaques from two of GPI’s popular lines of casino currency–Bourgogne & Grasset (B&G) and Bud Jones.

Different sets of casino chips and plaques were created for the resort property and included a variety of styles, shapes and colour combinations, as well as a number of security features, including radio frequency identification (RFID) tags.  Each set was customised for Resorts World Sentosa to meet the casino’s operational and security requirements.  The premium casino chips and plaques were produced in both of the GPI’s secure production facilities.

“We chose GPI for our casino currency because of their undisputed leadership position in RFID technology, as well as their unique ability to provide the most design and security options to meet our stringent requirements,” said Wong Ah Yoke, Senior Vice President of Casino Operations at Resorts World Sentosa.  “The quality of service and the professionalism of the staff were crucial in ensuring that the chips and plaques were delivered in time for our opening.”

The RFID technology offered with all GPI’s lines of casino currency, allows casinos to verify the authenticity and value of each chip instantly, reducing the possibility of counterfeiting, staff pilferage or miscounts. With specialised readers and software this technology enables casinos to track individual chips throughout the gaming floor as well as follow payments, fills and credits, tips, and wins and losses per table at any time of the day.

GPI has a long standing history of supplying all Resorts World casino properties with casino currency.  GPI has previously supplied Resorts World Genting, Resorts World Manila and its affiliate Star Cruises (now Genting Hong Kong).

“Resorts World is one of the top casino brands in the world and we are delighted that they chose GPI to supply the casino currency for its Sentosa property,” added Greg Gronau, President and CEO of GPI.  “They required many levels of security for their currency and their decision to choose GPI is truly a testament to the broad scope of our security offering.”
