Word reaches Asian Gaming Intelligence that Efraim Genuino, the chairman of the the Philippines gaming regulator-cum-operator Pagcor, has reached an understanding with all three front runner candidates in May’s presidential elections.
AGI hears it’s a bit like an insurance bet. Whomever emerges as the election winner and takes power, Dr Genuino will also win by returning to the hot seat as chairman of Pagcor.
Friendly politicians have already sponsored no less than three bills in the national Senate in an attempt to extend Dr Genuino’s chairmanship of Pagcor ahead of the elections.
If Dr G wants the post so badly, then he must surely be the right man for the job.
