IGT’s revenue-boosting concepts take the stage at G2E Asia 2009

International Game Technology Inc. (IGT), a leading supplier of gaming machines and gaming systems, will again demonstrate at G2E Asia how its commitment to player and operator value drives everything the company does.

This partnership with consumers and industry customers makes IGT machines and systems the right choice regardless of conditions in the wider economy, says the company. During challenging times, IGT technology works harder for every dollar spent by players or invested by operators. During boom times, that same technology maximises the feel good factor for consumers and maximises the time they spend playing their favourite games.

“IGT remains focused and committed to developing new technologies and products we believe will benefit our company and customers today and when the economic downturn is behind us,” says John Gomes, Managing Director of IGT Asia.

“We remain positive that the current market conditions will improve over the coming year. Our industry is changing to keep up with technology, to do business more efficiently and, most importantly, to excite and entertain players in new ways. IGT is at the forefront of that effort,” he adds.

“For that reason we are really looking forward to exhibiting at G2E Asia 2009. Our booth will be full of new games, exciting innovations and forward-thinking systems products that will show why IGT is the right choice in the expanding Asian market,” states Mr Gomes.

REELdepth™

One of the star turns at the company’s stand will be IGT’s REELdepth™ slots, which continue to impress operators and players alike. REELdepth slots use Multi-Layer Display® technology, an ingenious layering of two or more liquid crystal

displays (LCDs) that creates the visual effect of true depth without the use of 3-D glasses.

“The graphics on this platform are unmatched in the industry,” says Mr Gomes.

The company adds that when REELdepth slots are teamed with server-based technology, they are the only product line on the market that allows users to change from a 3-reel game to a 4-reel game, 5-reel game, video reel or poker game within seconds—all on the same Advanced Video Platform® machine.

At G2E Asia 2009 IGT will highlight its new REELdepth multi level progressive game The Joker’s Wild™.

MultiPLAY™ Video Slots

IGT’s new MultiPLAY™ Video Slots—already a success in the market—let players play one theme up to four times, simultaneously, on the same machine. IGT’s stand at G2E Asia 2009 will feature the well-known Cleopatra® game theme in MultiPLAY format.

IGT Network Systems

IGT has grown by acquisition as well as in-house technological innovation in the past year. The company acquired the assets of Progressive Gaming International (PGI), a leading global supplier of integrated casino and jackpot management systems, on 20th January 2009.

“PGI’s system product line is designed for somewhat different market segments as compared to our current IGT Advantage® suite of products. As such, the technology is an ideal complement to our current offering, allowing us to immediately increase our system install base, while providing us with an alternative product offering and future sales opportunities,” says Mr Gomes.

At G2E Asia 2009, IGT Network Systems will present the Advantage® 8.2 casino management suite, as well as the single or multi-property Casinolink® Enterprise Edition showing EZ Pay® ticketing and a cashless card system, now also with the renowned sb NexGen™ as a player interface display option.

The company says its development of technologies providing a new and improved interface between the player, the game and the casino operator is a part of its constant search for extra value.

sbX™

These technologies include what IGT describes as its ‘player experience suite’, sbX™. Part of the company’s demonstration area at G2E Asia 2009 will be devoted to showing off the sbX range, including sbX Floor Manager, sbX Media Manager (with service window), and a number of sbX prototypes. To round off the display, IGT will unveil the innovative Beverage on Demand feature from Las Vegas Gaming, Inc., as a demonstration of the commercial benefits of the open architecture standards used for sbX. The sbX system is also integrated with the IGT Advantage™ casino management system and is in the process of being integrated with the latest version of Casinolink® Enterprise Edition, the suite of gaming management system products originally developed by PGI

RFID

To complete its systems portfolio display at G2E Asia, IGT will be presenting an RFID (radio frequency identification) dual chip tray and showing how this

technology can streamline inventory management at the table—one of many applications of RFID technology—including cage and bonusing products—within IGT Networks Systems.
