Bally Technologies, Inc. is increasing sales and market coverage in Asia-Pacific thanks to proven products and effective innovation

Bally Technologies, Inc. believes the best way of achieving success tomorrow is not to rest on its laurels today. In that spirit, Bally’s 600 square foot stand at G2E Asia 2009 will display more than 50 new video and stepper slot titles.

Hot Shot™ and Quick Hit™

Bally is building on the popularity of its Hot Shot™ and Quick Hit™ series with a number of new releases including eight new Quick Hit themes, bringing Bally’s successful upright steppers to its CineReels™ cabinet.

Goldbeard’s Treasure™ and Monkey Madness™

Goldbeard’s Treasure, the video slot series available in six themes, has been updated, while the new Monkey Madness series capitalises on the popularity of Bally’s top-performing Golden Monkey™ video slots and steppers. The updates of both series offer stacked wilds, free games, and a five-level progressive feature—a first from Bally. The games offer excellent consumer value, as players do not have to maximise their bets to be eligible to win any progressives.

Reel Money™

Bally has also released a high-denomination version of its Reel Money steppers. The company says the new version plays like Bally’s very successful Hot Shot Progressive. Players can win up to five bonus spins for the chance to claim a top prize of up to US$2.5 million, depending on local jackpot regulations.

Power Strike™

The new generation of Power Strike™, another popular Bally video slot series, is available in three themes. These new games allow casinos to market a high value prize, such as a car, motorcycle, boat, or holiday, as the top jackpot award. Alternatively the top jackpot can be offered at a cash value equivalent to those high value prizes. Power Strike gives the option of prizes valued from US$1,350 up to US$7.5 million, subject to jurisdictional approval.

Power Progressive Platinum™

The Power Progressive Platinum™ suite offers three games: Double Wild Rose; Rich & Famous; and White Gold. Each of these games offers operators configurable lines and credits, as well as multi-denomination capabilities. They are available in three- or five-reel stepper versions or in a video version on Bally’s ALPHA Elite™ V32 cabinet, with its dramatic, 32-inch vertical touch-screen LCD display. Players can win seven different progressives as well as a mystery multiplier to boost the chance of winning by between 2x and 10x. Two exciting random progressive bonus features—the Power Switch bonus and Power Spin bonus—move the player up a progressive bonus ladder toward the top progressive jackpot award.

Power Max™

Bally will display two new games under the Power Max™ brand—Power Max Lightning Reels™ and Power Max Reel Fire™.

Tower of Power™ and the GameMaker®

Other notable games on display at G2E Asia 2009 include Tower of Power™ and the GameMaker® HD Suite 4 multi-game platform. Accented in gleaming chrome, Tower of Power’s signature ladder bonus top box features a progressive bonus upper award of 10,000 credits multiplied by the total bet and denomination. Tower of Power also gives operators the flexibility of configurable lines and credits, as well as denomination choices ranging from one cent up to US$100. GameMaker HD Suite 4 offers operators a new collection of 24 video slot and video poker games on this multi-game platform. New game titles featured in this suite include: Double Bonus Poker™; Triple Aces Poker™; Pick ‘Em Poker™; All American Poker™; Four Play™; Blackjack; Keno; American Original™; Black & White Sevens™; Bonus Sevens Grand™; and Winning Times™.

Bally TableView™

Bally will also showcase its award-winning Bally TableView™ real-time table rating and player-tracking technology on a specially outfitted baccarat table at the booth. Bally TableView can also request chip fills and credits, input table closers, issue customer comps and markers, and change the table shift. Additionally, TableView supports Bally Power Bonusing™, an award-winning suite of player-centric bonusing promotions. Bally Power Winners™ will also be demonstrated as part of this Bally TableView technology.

Industry awards

Bally won five prizes in Casino Journal’s ‘Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products 2008’ awards, for the following products:

Bally iVIEW Display Manager™ (DM), which enables operators to present system and marketing messages on the main game screen, the top game display, and even the overhead display with picture-in-picture capability. Bally iVIEW DM is technically compatible with most existing gaming machines on casino floors.

Bally Power Card™, a powerful new marketing and promotions tool for gaming operators. This stored-value card can be used as an ‘electronic wallet’ for players to use for gaming and purchases throughout the casino; as a marketing tool to drive incremental sales and reward customers; and as a casino gift card.

Bally Download Configuration Manager™ (DCM), a server application that allows casino operators to view, examine, and manage their floor configuration from a central location. Bally DCM is used today to download Bally iVIEW content across large casino floors (i.e., 3,000 plus games) in a matter of minutes.

Bally Biometric Recognition™, the first product to incorporate distributed surveillance and biometric recognition to solve real business problems at the point of play, including self-exclusion and non-carded player tracking.

Bally iVIEW Software Design Kit, which allows casinos to easily create, test, and deploy Bally iVIEW multi-media content for the Bally iVIEW SmartScreen or Bally iVIEW DM on every slot machine on the casino floor.

Bally also won two awards in the 2009 Casino Enterprise Management Slot Floor Technology Awards competition. Bally’s cutting-edge Biometric Recognition and Download Configuration Manager™ were both recognised by a panel of distinguished judges.

CoolSign™

Bally’s best-in-class CoolSign™ technology makes its regional debut at G2E Asia. More than 160 casinos around the world already use CoolSign systems as an integrated way of generating and managing digital messages to customers. These messages are created using a central console and can be delivered to patrons via many different media, including overhead electronic signs on casino floors, in-room television, and outdoor advertising. Crucially, CoolSign also has a direct interface with the Bally iVIEW™ player-interface screens fitted to Bally and other proprietary slot machines. As a result, casino management can beam marketing and other messages direct to consumers while they’re playing games.

Bally people power

It’s Bally’s people that make Bally products some of the best in the gaming industry. That fact was recognised recently when Cath Burns, Managing Director and Vice President Asia Pacific, was awarded a ‘Great Women of Gaming’ Proven Leader Award by Casino Enterprise Management magazine. Under her watch Bally has built a client base in Macau, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Laos, and will expand into Singapore and Australia this year.

Bally’s Asia-Pacific team achieved a 24% share of the initial slot order made by Melco Crown Entertainment for its City of Dreams integrated resort, which opened on Cotai, Macau, at the beginning of the month. The region made a major contribution to Bally’s new unit sales in the international market, which accounted as a whole for 1,609 units, or approximately 37% of all Bally’s sales in the company’s third fiscal quarter.
