Spare a thought for the technical team racing against time to get City of Dreams’ interactive entertainment show Dragon’s Treasure ready inside The Bubble—the iconic space colony-style building in the middle of the site.
The media was given what the management referred to as a ‘sneak peek’ this week during an escorted tour of the site.
On that showing, Dragon’s Treasure is interesting but there are still apparently some technical issues to resolve. One is that all along the concave interior walls of the dome used as the projection screen for the 360-degree show, there are ducts cut into the wall. This tends to distract the viewer. Instead of getting lost in the admittedly lavish special effects, the DIY enthusiast in you wants to slap on a bit of rendering in the holes and paint over them.
The theatre also remained quite well lit during the performance, which also detracted from the wonder of the entertainment, though that may have been for health and safety reasons. AGI awaits with interest the finished product.
