Hong Kong listed Amax Entertainment Holdings Limited, an 80 percent equity holder in the profits of Macau junket consolidator AMA International Ltd, has announced a number of senior managerial changes.

Corey Wong Lee Ping has been named Amax’s company secretary and authorised representative. Meanwhile Ken Chan, Amax’s Chief Financial Officer, has resigned to pursue other business opportunities.

Mr Wong is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Amax says he has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of corporate finance, financial management, and investment. Prior to joining the company, Mr Wong was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick from 1987 to 1990 and has served as chief financial officer of Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed companies and project director of investment companies in Greater China.

AMA runs VIP gambling operations at Crown Macau, currently Melco Crown Entertainment’s only Macau casino operation. Amax recently announced in its Q4 ’08 results a 27.8 percent quarter on quarter fall in VIP rolling chip turnover at Crown Macau.
