Gaming Partners International Corporation (GPIC), a leading provider of casino chips and table game equipment worldwide, has won the 2009 International Gaming Award for Best Technology Manufacturer for its RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) TableTop Authenticator.

The award was received by GPIC President and Chief Executive Officer Gerard Charlier during a ceremony held in London on the eve of the International Gaming Expo at Earls Court.

“This prestigious international award is a tribute to GPI’s hard work to bring efficient and cost-effective RFID solutions to the table games industry,” said M. Charlier, President and CEO.

“Our TableTop Authenticator is a great device to fight counterfeiting and fraudulent activities by verifying incoming chips at the very first entry point in the casino: the tables,” he added.

In addition to Casino Currency Control (TM) and table management products, GPIC introduced several new RFID products at IGE including:

  •  •  its latest RFID TablesSolution platform for the casino cage, gaming floor and dedicated poker area;
  •  •  a progressive version of its RFIDPoker(TM) table;
  •  •  a bill validator integrated to a RFID-enabled blackjack table;
  •  •  a roulette table with RFID bet recognition; and
  •  •  the widest range of RFID readers in both 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies ever displayed for use in the casino industry.
