Asian i-Gaming Congress & Expo continues to grow, highlighting importance of region to the i-gaming industry

Hong Kong (November 20 2008) – Clarion Gaming and Beacon Events, organizers of the AiG Congress & Expo anticipate that the only i-gaming event in Asia is set to become the largest gaming congress in the region. Taking place from 24-26 February 2009 at The Venetian in Macau it will be the 7th annual edition and the third time the event has been held in Macau.

In 2008 the congress welcomed over 500 attendees, an increase of 170% on 2007, and over 50% of these attendees were from Asia. AiG 2009 will see a further increase and the organizers anticipate over 700 attendees next year, making it the most important gaming conference for the region and reflecting the surge in interest in this sector.

The congress will feature a brand new pre-congress day on Mobile Gaming and, back by popular demand, is the pre-congress day on Online Marketing. The main congress continues to blend plenary sessions with streams, allowing delegates to tailor the event exactly to their needs. This year the streams will be focusing on Betting, Poker, Skill Games, Payments and Fraud Control, Responsible Gaming, Lotteries and Bingo, Technology and Software, Multi-platform Gaming and Operations.

Early speakers confirmed for the congress so far include representatives from the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, Betgenius, Bettor Logic, CryptoLogic, Devilfish Gaming, eCOGRA, El Media, EntroPay, First Atlantic Commerce, GTECH, GamCare, iFaFa, Jersey Gambling Commission, Korean Professional Poker Players Association, Las Vegas From Home, Live Casino Technology, Mahjong Time, Mirada Gaming, PKR and WSN.com

The exhibition area has also doubled in size again with over forty companies anticipated to exhibit in 2009 allowing attendees numerous networking opportunities at the event. Early confirmed sponsors include Cyberarts, Microgaming, Prolexic and NYX Interactive. They will also have exhibition booths along with iovation, Mahjong Time, Mahjong Logic and Transact24.

Conference Director, Rosalind Wade of conference partner Beacon Events stated, “AiG will continue to break all records in 2009 with an exhibition doubling in size and attendance numbers set for another big increase.” She continued, “Asia is still really hot and with more and more companies looking to take advantage of the opportunities it offers, AiG is perfectly timed to allow all attendees to learn what works and what to avoid in the region.”
