BMM Compliance is pleased to announce that Macau Polytechnic Institute (MPI), in collaboration with the Macau Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), has selected BMM Compliance as its partner in an exclusive arrangement to establish a testing centre for gaming devices, and to support the development of gaming standards. The agreement follows the successful opening of BMM’s Macau office in August 2008,

The test centre, officially known as ‘MPI-BMM Testing Centre for Gaming Devices’, will be housed at MPI’s campus in Macau, and will be operated by BMM Macau utilizing the resources of both organizations. The centre will be designed and built to provide full interoperability testing services for multiple systems and devices as well as individual games platform testing.

The agreement will further benefit Macau’s gaming industry through the development of appropriate gaming standards for the Macau market..

“Winning this exclusive partnership with the highly respected MPI is a significant vote of confidence in how BMM Compliance conducts its business worldwide. Our approach to business partnerships, which combines the best gaming testing facilities with regulatory assistance in standards and process development, was seen by the MPI evaluation committee, including the DICJ, as the preferred collaborative approach to meet their Gaming industry objectives in Macau”, said Martin Storm, President and CEO of BMM International. “BMM and MPI are creating a benchmark model for the industry, and we are delighted to be chosen as their partner”..

“MPI was able to clearly see that BMM Compliance was different to the other organizations it was assessing for this partnership”, said BMM Compliance Asia-Pacific Managing Director, Peter Turner. “BMM showed MPI that it cared about the growth of the gaming industry, the development of the people in Macau’s gaming industry and the independence of Macau’s regulators to develop their own standards”.
