INSIDE ASIAN GAMING SEPTEMBER 2018 32 J APAN reached a major milestone in July when the Diet, Japan’s legislative body, passed both the IR Implementation Bill and the Basic Bill on Gambling Addictions Countermeasures. Both laws will serve as the framework for the regulation and governing body of IRs in Japan.
