Macau junket operator Tak Chun Group has flagged further growth both locally and abroad following the expansion of its Tak Chun VIP Club at Galaxy Entertainment Group’s StarWorld Hotel and Casino on the Macau Peninsula.
Tak Chun officially unveiled its newest junket space at a glitzy opening ceremony attended by IAG on Wednesday, with Tak Chun VIP Club at StarWorld doubling its capacity to 16 tables spread across seven private rooms.
It represents the company’s third Macau launch of the year, having previously opened new rooms at Sands China’s Plaza Macao and taken over VIP operations at Macau Roosevelt. Internationally Tak Chun has opened rooms at Okada Manila in the Philippines and at Vietnam’s Crowne Plaza Danang.
In total, Tak Chun now has 17 rooms in Macau with an 18th set to open before the end of the year at MGM COTAI. According to a company representative, the company has entered early discussions about launching VIP clubs in Cyprus – where Melco Resorts and Entertainment is buildings its US$650 million City of Dreams Mediterranean – and in South Africa.
