Silver Heritage Group has announced two key appointments at its Tiger Palace Resort Bhairahawa in Nepal, with Kevin Willcocks named General Manager – Casino and Brett Model the new General Manager – Hotel.
Their arrival completes the property’s international recruitment with employee headcount now standing at 819 people, of which 95% (780) are local Nepali citizens, Silver Heritage said in a filing to the Australian Securities Exchange.
Willcocks brings more than 30 years of casino operations experience in the Australian, Asian and European markets, including the last 16 years in Goa, India. His roles have included Director of Operations with Casinos Austria International at Casino Goa and as Manager of Training and Administration with Goa Coastal Resorts & Recreation Pvt Ltd, which operates Casino Pride, Casino Pride 2, Casino Paradise, Casino Palms and Casino Pearl – Goa.
Model, who will start his new role on 1 March 2018, joins Tiger Palace from his role as Director of Hotel Operations at the 1,100 room Golden Nugget Lake Charles in Louisiana, USA, which boasts 85 tables and 1,600 gaming machines. Fluent in Mandarin, Model’s 15 years of experience includes stints with Six Senses and Sheraton Sanya in China, Wynn Macau, The Grand Ho Tram Strip in Vietnam) and Aman Resorts in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
