The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has named the 2017 Australasian Gaming Expo as a finalist in the Best Industry Association Event category at its premier annual awards.
Following a competitive assessment process, the AGE was shortlisted by an esteemed panel of 39 international and national judges.
EEAA Chief Executive Joyce DiMascio acknowledged the high caliber of entries in 2017, stating, “This is a distinguished shortlist that has met high standards of excellence as decided by some of the most reputable global and national leaders of our industry.”
The nomination reflects research results from independent Exhibition Researcher’s Explore, with Associate Director of Research Rory Govan adding, “When compared to over 1,000 other trade shows globally, the Australasian Gaming Expo is in the top 15% for delivering high visitor and exhibitor satisfaction.”
Nominees in the Best Industry Association category will undergo a second round of judging to determine the category winner for 2017, which will be announced at a gala dinner in Melbourne on Wednesday 29 November 2017.
The Australasian Gaming Expo is billed as the largest hospitality expo in the Southern Hemisphere, filling over 19,000 square meters of the new ICC Sydney, with space for 250 exhibitors. The 2017 Expo saw a 19% increase in visitors over the previous year, a record that organizers hope to replicate for the 2018 event. The 2018 exhibition is scheduled for 14 to 16 August and exhibitors interested in booking space can find all inquiry details at www.austgamingexpo.com .
